# Workmanship warranty and aftercare

Handover should make it clear what was installed, what still needs attention and who to contact. The warranty sits alongside that record, not in place of it.

## The handover comes first

We walk through the completed work with you and record agreed snags where needed. The relevant handover documents depend on the scope, but may include certificates, product information, care notes and the final agreed variation record.

## The 12-month workmanship warranty

Sweet Homes provides a 12-month warranty for its own workmanship. The exact start point, scope, exclusions and reporting route are set out in the written project terms supplied for the job. The wording on this page is a guide and does not replace those terms.

## Products and specialist work can have separate cover

A manufacturer may provide its own product warranty, and specialist work may carry separate certification or terms. Where those documents apply to the project, they are identified through the handover information. Product cover and workmanship cover are not the same thing.

## Your statutory rights remain

The workmanship warranty is an additional written commitment. It does not remove or reduce the rights a consumer may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the requirement for a service to be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

- Report a concern with photographs and a short description where possible.
- Keep the area safe and avoid further work that could obscure the cause unless urgent protection is needed.
- We will review the information and confirm the next practical step.

Legal reference: section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Project-specific warranty wording and remedies are governed by the written contract and the circumstances of the issue.
