# Review policy

**Last reviewed: 17 August 2026**

This policy explains how Brunon Rogowski Ltd trading as Sweet Homes checks and publishes customer reviews and information derived from reviews on this website. It covers individual review extracts, review counts, star ratings and summary statements.

Sweet Homes does not accept reviews directly through this website. Reviews displayed here originate on Google or Edinburgh Trusted Trader. Visitors can check those independent sources from the links on our [reviews page](/reviews-testimonials-from-edinburgh-homeowners/).

## What we prohibit

Sweet Homes prohibits fake reviews, reviews written by someone who did not have the stated experience, concealed incentivised reviews and false or misleading review summaries.

We do not permit staff, contractors, agencies or other third parties to pose as customers. We do not permit a payment, discount, free service or other benefit to be conditional on a positive review. If a review has been connected to any benefit, that connection must be disclosed and the review will not be presented as an unincentivised customer review.

## How reviews are checked and selected

Before a review is republished, its wording, source and public attribution are checked against the originating platform and recorded in the website's review ledger. Review wording is not rewritten. Formatting may change to fit the page, and a source that publishes the reviewer anonymously may be labelled as a verified customer rather than exposing an anonymous placeholder as a name.

The main reviews page displays the current public review pool held in that governed ledger. A service page may show a smaller selection relevant to that type of work. Selection must not change the meaning of a review or present editorial copy as customer feedback.

The combined rating and review count are calculated from the two named platforms. They are held as governed facts with a verification date and are rechecked before their freshness period expires. The current values are published through shared review modules and fact tokens.

## Detection, investigation and correction

We use proportionate checks for the review information we control. These include matching published extracts to their source, checking that every testimonial card has a valid ledger record, checking aggregate figures against the two platforms and reviewing concerns reported to us.

If review content may be fake, concealed, inaccurate or misleading, we will investigate the source and suspend or remove the website copy where appropriate. If a source review is removed, materially changed or shown to be unreliable, the corresponding website record and any affected summary information will be corrected or withdrawn.

We periodically review these controls and reassess the risk when the website changes how reviews are collected, selected or displayed.

## Raise a concern

To question a review or review summary published on this website, email [hello@mysweethomes.co.uk](mailto:hello@mysweethomes.co.uk) with the page address and the specific content concerned. We will record the concern, check the originating source and confirm the outcome.

This policy follows the Competition and Markets Authority's [guidance for businesses publishing consumer reviews](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fake-reviews/short-guide-for-businesses-publishing-consumer-reviews-and-complying-with-consumer-protection-law).
